#0 sourceI normally use the plastic "Zip Ties" to secure the fuel tanks on profile models and they work real well. The only problem is having to replace them every time you remove the tank.
The other day I was in Home Depot and found the Heavy Duty Extra Strength "Can't pull it apart" Velcro with a 24hr cure adhesive on the back. Apparently this stuff has come along way since I last used it. The glue on the back looks like JB Weld and I gotta tell ya, IT STICKS.

Having cut enough to apply a good sized patch to my Flite Streak and another to the back of my fuel tank ,It Works Great. Adjust-ability, Quick Removal, Fuel Proof so far, and the added excitement of wondering if you tank is going to come off while flying.
This mounting method is only applicable to models that you have no attachment to. Like ARF's...
I'll let you know how long it lasts.
