Fuji .35

In a lot of engines I acquired is a Fuji .35. After cleaning it up put it on the test stand. Runs fine with one little problem.
One run = one plug and this was on 5% nitro. Looks sort of like a Enya in that it has no back plate and the front comes off. Can anyone tell me about this engine.

The Fujis, indeed "inspired" by Enya, make decent, modestly powered sport/mild stunt motors. They start and run pretty well. They are kind of like their Ueda cousings in this way.

Three possibilities that I can suggest:

1. Some crud or FOD (Foreign Object Damage) you missed blew the plug. It probably won't happen again.
2. The engine is old and worn enough that the head gasket has compressed. Un-designed higher compression will blow plugs.
3. It was a bad plug.

If it keeps blowing plugs, add a head shim. You should be able to make one using soft drink can material and an X-Acto knife. It might be just real tight and needs to loosen up a bit, at which point you can drop the head again.
