That is sometimes the Internet in general or your Internet provider. My provider, for instance, (Larry, Curley, and MOe, Inc.) will go so slow sometimes I just shut it off and try again later. Basically I switch to a commercial site I know of, and if there are problems there, then it is with me or the Internet in general.

The end of the month is often times slower, too, for whatever reason.

Or, it could be activity on the board at some particular time. We had over 200 posts just yesterday, alone. And that is just posts, not counting downloads. If you happen to hit a particularly active period, things could be a bit slower, too. But I am not noticing any unusual problems at the moment.

Thanks Len. It's still very slow for me. I have cable modem and other sites are still at warp 7... so it must be the traffic. Nice to be popular.

The slow time of the day is 7 to 10 in the morning, CST. Things are fairly active from midnight to four in the morning and then again after noon on. Of course, this is world-wide, so while some of us are sleeping, others aren't. I guess that 7-10 period in the morning is when the majority of the guys in the US are going to work and don't have access to computers. A lot of activity during the work day (as evidenced by the page requests)

We are now exceeding my current bandwidth limitations and I am going to have to up the ante starting next month. Ah, progress.

Serious question Len. As you upgrade to keep up with volumes, are you seeing increasing costs? I'm sure that most of us would be willing to share in the costs if it comes to that. I don't know where I'd play if this board was gone.

I have hi speed Comcast. It will not load for 45 sec. All other web sights OK.

Did you happen to think about something that you might have down loaded? Of all places I down loaded a site that was listed on one of the posts, almost immediately my computor went into phase. The wife has spent the last four days trying to get things back to normal. I think she has the virus control on high now. Later, -DOC

You are right it is very slow today we have DSL at work and it is usually very fast. It is raining very hard today over cast and windy I bet the bad weather is making it slow. lol
