All the monsters talked to each other, or at least communicated.

Heck, Godzilla lit you up with that bad breath, you'd been communicated, ex-communicated and excremented all in one shot.

It was a famous quote because of the hilarious dubbing, and the ridiculous special effects at the time it was said.

Kind of like when the guy with the British accent ended "The Attack of the Mushroom People" movie by saying, "I couldn't help it, I had to finally eat them." And he turns around to show that he's starting to become a mushroom.

You had to be there.
