Hi All,
I have had a "P" for many years. Somehow the ring has broke, but it has virtually no run time.
Will the H 40S sleeve/piston /pin drop in place?
Also, Head?? I would guess the head is different. (??)
I would like to use this as a stunt engine if I can get the parts, and they will fit/work.

Bill,

The P is a pylon engine and is not timed right for a stunt run. I had one of the RR (rat race engines) and swapped it for a 40H S.

You might try asking about it at the MECOA sight and see if you can get a swap. http://www.modelengine.org/forum/

Bill, 40H-P engines come in two bore/stroke combinations. I also believe the large bore one is always ringed. I have definitely seen lapped piston small bore versions, is there a ringed small bore version? Better check before you buy?
I have a large bore version available, built up from new parts, but the case is a bit stained. $60 + post? (Just thought I'd get that in while I have the chance!).
