T-Bolt progress (PHOTO'S)

I would like to thank all the people who have sent me messages or emails telling me that they have enjoyed the building posts. I do so as described in a post to show that anyone can do it if you put your mind to it and it does take some practice. But remember sanding is you friend get to know it for a light model. I would like to emphasize the art of candling as you sand. I think it is one of the most important parts to getting a evenly shaped and hollowed out part.

This airframe is only aprox 2 weeks old and at the end of this weekend will be on it's wheels. I'm looking forward to finishing this model as the detail is my favorite part.

Below are to shots of the engine compartment as you will notice there are no doublers just like the first one. Although I am beefing up the area more so than the first.

Robert, I admire your skills in building. Also am envious of you patience.

I am waiting for top and bottom parts to dry. Should be tomorrow for the next shot. In the mean time I am finishing flaps and elevators ,rudder ect..

Yea, it seems like finishing planes is much faster today with CA glues available. But some things (like epoxy and molding) you just have to wait for. I layed up my first gear piece tonight. Can't wait to pull it from the mold tomorrow so I can make the other one.

Sometimes, you just have to wait.

I really enjoy your posts. I look for your name as soon as i log on to see what you have accomplished. I always download your pics into my Pictures Directory on Media Center. I have 104 saved so far. I probably watch the entire slide show about once a week and show them to all my friends who come over.

I have never seen anyone who builds so good and so fast. Not since Igor Burger posted all the pictures of his plane going together have I enjoyed this forum so much.

Thanks for the pics and the posts where you describe what is important at each step.

As I stated in another post my dad owned a hobby shop when I was a kid so I have built a lot of these planes. Just a modest guess over 250. 1/2A's to full size PA ships. Heck in 5 months I have built a SV22, ARF Nobler, profile ,P47 and now on my second P47. I almost have all the research done for building a STUKA. It will be fully molded.
But for the next plane (that I already have parts cut for) It will be a JUNAR PLUS. I can't give out the details but I'm sure it will be great flyer. I already have a PA 40 ultra lite for it.

I am glad that I can post the pics for people to learn how a full size PA ship is constructed. If you have questions feel free to ask Via E-mail or post. I get allot of emails so be sure to include in you message something that will draw my attention to stunt planes.

The top molds are dry and I am fitting today and I will post shots later today 12-12-04.

Is that a Williams pilot I see at the bottom of one of the pictures? Hope you have got a stock
