Metric screw/bolt question

I have diligently searced the archives as I know I have seen this information recently but no luck so far.
I am lloking for the correct metric sizes for OS LA 40/46 head bolts and backplate bolts to replace the issue bolts with allen heads. Anybody got this info handy?

Head bolts 3x.5-12mm. Back plate 3x.5-8mm. Must be high quality for good fit.

Any suggestions on where to get the correct quality and size bolts?

Most towns have a nut and bolt house. Try Allen or Unbrako brand these are both good quality.

I plan on trying Bosco nut and bolt locally-they usually have about everything. I don't know if they are national but would expect any decent size metro area has a nut and bolt specialty store.
I'll just have to rely on them as to the quality. Still, about anything has to be better than the philips heads.

Jim - try some of the RC car places around town.....they're heavy into metric stuff!

I tried duratrax r/c car bolts. They fit loose. OS bolts 2.92mm dia. Duratrax 2.86mm dia. Large difference for such a small bolt. Stay with name brand. You could try LOWES they have a good nut and bolt dept. Make sure of the fit or you could ruin the threads in the engine.

I use DU-BRO in the ones that use and in the ones that I modify and I have found them to work fine.

Ace hardware is where I get all my metric stuff. -DOC

Just get the bolt set from Tower #LXCV34 and use a good #1 phillips screw driver. As long as you don't plan on taking the head on and off alot it will be ok.
