Recently, there has been alot of speculation why the Brodak supporters are doing what they are doing. A recent entry on another web-site reveals a few things. His thoughts go like this "Finally, consider this: Let any PAMPA member-hotshot pilot, sport flyer, simply drop out of model aviation. Go away, disappear, whatever. I don't care who it is, parts of the flying community might miss them but the overall impact on Stunt and C/L would be trivial. The absence of many, myself included, might not even be noticed. . Now, suppose John Brodak decided to abandon the sport completely-close up shop, mothball everything, severing any and all ties with the model aviation community. Think there would be any impact?? So, these are just my thoughts and concerns. As I'm sure many of you other optains, let me know-it'd be most interesting". Bob Z. So, that's the deal, John Brodak can hand out more goodies than anyone else, so he must be given complete authority over Pampa procedures! Sounds like the reason alot of people vote for their Congressman, he or she can bring home the bacon! Here's some more choice thoughts: "He's (Brodak) done more for model aviation than, possibly,anyone in the history of the sport. Otherwise, why would the biggest and most successful C/L event on the planet be attrbuted to him? "Who needs a bunch of malcontents who have nothing better to do than piss and moan about him? I say to them "get a life, quit complaining, or just get the hell out of model aviation" Let us continue to enjoy the best SPORT ever and the fun and camaraderie it instills" Aot of room for other concepts, what?
