My mate has an R/C Veco 35 TCC (shiny case) I had a Veco 35 TCC (matte case) many years ago.

What are the differences between the Series 100 and the TCC - if any.

Is it worth buying and converting for c/l use?

If I remember correctly, Veco came out with Temperature Controlled Clearance (TCC) on the three screw backplate models. TCC shortened break-in by using a piston that was relieved on the bottom half to decrease friction heat.
The series 100 used TCC also. I think it was the first Veco that had four backplate screws.
I remember a model mag review (in the 50's) where a new Veco (.19 I think) was fitted with a flywheel and run. It survived without overheating. The mag was impressed.
This was all before it became commonplace to taper the piston or cylinder.
Perhaps someone else has a more accurate account, but this is how I remember it.
