The last stunter I built was broke in half in car wreck two days after it was finished.

My new plane is done in primer, I was so proud. Last night a storm knocked it off the wall.

Anyone know a priest?

Contact Sightings, they can send an investigating team to check for evil spirits and if necessary, recommend a good exoricist to aid in freeing you from this obivous haunting....TD

Would a Lutheran help?

I haven't done a good exorcism in quite a while (come to think of it, I have never done one) but I am willing to try.

Of course, if the last episode was accompanied by the sound of rushing wind, that may not be the problem. And we don't insure against acts of God.

It sounds to me like a casual attitude toward protecting your models. I screwed "J hooks" into the studs on the wall, made some loops of cotton shoestrings, and hung some models on the wall. They stayed put through a 7.9 earthquake just a year ago. As I recall the car wreck, didn't the tool box actually do the damage? Don't put them together! Toolbox should fit on the floor in the back seat, model in the back (Explorer?), or vs. versa, but not ever together. When going to the NATS, you'd put in all the luggage and toolbox, throw a blanket over that and set the models on top, right? As long as you don't have a major crash/rollover, it should be ok. Steve

When Matt is at home and flying one plane at a time, he puts the plane in the back seat (Bonneville) with a blanket on the seat for protection, and all the rest of the stuff in the trunk. When going to contests, he still puts the plane (or planes) in the back seat and packs pillows, foam, whatever around them to keep them in place, but well cushioned, with luggage and tools, etc. still in the trunk. Even in a crash the planes would probably survive unless the cabin got crunched.

The planes are hung on the wall at home with a string looped around the tail (easy to get on and off) and the string firmly anchored to the wall with a big meat hoook nail. The walls could rock and roll, and the plane would survive fine.

I don't. The plane slid violently foward, the stab hit the back of the front seats at an angle and broke the fuse in half. I als smashed the crap out the Honda I hit. My Patfinder was undamaged (so much for the liberals and their safety issues with the SUV).

LAST EDITED ON Mar-09-02 AT 09:00 PM (CST)

Try this...
1. Save all busted props in a coffe can facing Kitty Hawk.
2. One coat of paint on your next plane should be from the paint mixed from all the ones in your shop.
3. An attempt should be made to orginize your balsa scrap box 17 hours before starting your next prodject.
4. Oldest set of tires sould be used on next plane.
5. Carry a piece of fuel line in your right front pocket on even days of the month. Odd days store the same fuel tube some place other then the right front pocket. Do that for two weeks.
6. This one isnt part of the exocisum..But I guess murphy's law gets another few sub headings.
I really hope no ill will happens to your next bird. But there is no gaurntee with the above things to try;) Good Luck. Steve D.

Ouch!
That's gotta hurt. Hey, at least it wasn't 2 weeks old! Take a few days "off", then tackle the repairs. It won't be so bad then.
