Ok with all the interest and postings on this beautiful classic design I was inspired to try and contact the “ORIGINAL” designer and to my surprise when I reached him, he received the idea with open arms and has given me his “Permission” and his Blessing , so let me introduce to all that are interested in my newest kit project.

The Original Jim Van Loo “CHIPMUNK” prototype # 3

This kit will be probably the best kit you will ever buy ,

I’m hand picking the flap and tail wood for its needed strength and the rest of the balsa will be the very BEST hand picked for me contest balsa imported from a dear friend over in England. This kit will be partially Laser cut and partially Hand cut by me personally, It will have professionally cut and triple cored foam wings (foam wings like the orig. #3 prototype featured) cut by Johnny Duncan, a Professionally molded canopy of which a Beautiful canopy plug was made for this by Mike Gretz, Heavy Duty Windy control horns, Windy’s bellcrank, Grooved maple gear blocks (not bass), Pre-bent 1/8th landing gear wire, Molded plastic wheel pants, adjustable lead-out guides, lead-out set with 8ft lead-out cable (not 6ft), adjustable weight box, some misc. hardware, and last but not least an absolutely Beautiful clean set of CAD plans by Rick “Catdaddy” Blankenship, the new plans master will also be signed and authenticated by Jim Van Loo so there will be no mistaking the legality of this model and kit as there has never been a kit of this prototype and also there will be a personal appearance from Jim Van Loo at Brodaks contest when this kit will be released so don’t think about this one to long and miss out, as I’m only making 20 of these beauties for now. Kits 1-10 have already been spoken for and if you come to Brodaks in June Jim will gladly autograph the kit/s for you. So get on the list early as I’m numbering them because I believe they are and will become quite a collectors piece or will be a pleasure to build

Sorry guys and gals I didn't intent to give the impression that it was for being kitted specifically as a collectors kit, I am only suggesting it for those that are collectors as well.
this kit will be a pleasure to build

The original Van Loo ship may be a good plane for the advanced flyer who wants to compete with the same plane in Classic as well as Pampa. I would definetly consider it a kit to build and fly versus collect.
