I just witnessed this past weekend one of the best flying planes ever. Not best ARF but best planes ever! It did a pattern that most guys would kill for. On another thread here some one said be careful about converting RC ARF to CL,I agree most of the time but this was an RC electric 3D plane ready to fly and Frank Williams converted it to CL and an OS 25. There are a number of RC planes offered in this vein and up to 90 size. I predicted 2 years ago this would happen and the CL elites not only laughed they belittled and scoffed at me. It is just around the corner before electric and ARFs dominate the industry and competition. Ron Kings Electric ARF Cardinal is also a good example.
I just bought an Ultra RC Yak 54 to convert to one of my 76 Ro-Jett and may also try some electric, in the future, in it. I only bought the fuse and intend to build another wing for it. The fuse is glass and pre-painted. I will sand off the paint and start from there.
