Only a little thing but mine had a protrusion on the side of the crankcase that got in the way of the mounting nuts. See pictures
I machined it off (see last Mo=Best picture)and the bolts are now much easier ot get to.

Yes it is a problem on all my ST 51's. I hate it as it's very inconvenient.

Whatever happened to the 60 sized, rear exhaust engine you were planning to come out with, Ian? Are you going to make the May monthly meeting of NVCL?

Dinoj - Just under 12.5oz. with muffler. AAC integral fins. £130 inc. airpost.
Sadly I won't make the NVCL meeting. We are now back in GB, after our VSC adventures. It's been so long since I got to a meeting of my American C/L club, but best wishes to all.

No, no 60. I had Ian's 40 "Megamorph", or something like that. That engine sure shook for about two hours before it broke in! Funny, our Northern Virgina Control Line Club has one member in Hawaii, one in Michigan, Ian has been a member, he is from Great Britain, some of ther members seem to be from another planet at times.We plan on putting on our first PAMPA contest in the fall.

Dinoj4 John what is this about a contest in the fall. I hope it's not the last weekend in Sept or the first weekend of Oct as I will be in Utah then.If I can help let me know.

Now that's interesting because my G51 (bought back in '95) has that boss machined back level with the insignia.

Nose weight??

Both my Italian 51's have the boss--not sure when they were made.
They lived with the LHS owner for several years before I found them.
