Really nice Mike. Did you machine the timer? Are you going to run it on gas or fuel? Oh! have you run it yet? I bet it will run "Great".

Considering the cost of glow fuel, this idea looks very good to me.

The timer assy was a gift from a very kind man, Don Hutchinson. He also sent me the drawings and I will be making a second one later this year. The engine will start its new life in my Go Devil until I get my Moitle finished.

Have you run it, yet?

It will be interesting to hear how it works out, and how the spark conversion handles the stock OS muffler. I understand noise is a major consideration in the UK, and the stock muffler does well for glow fuels.

Unless the compression ratio has been altered I assume you will run it on glow fuel? My Frog 500 ign. repro does this, and while it still runs well on petrol (gas) it loses about 1k rpm.

My plan is to start off with glow fuel but I would be pleased to hear what changes to the compression ratio I should/could make to optimise it for petrol. Ultimately it is my intention to replace it in the Go-Devil with the Super Cyclone I have been threatening to use for nearly a year.
