OS FP 35

I just recieved a NIB OS FP.35. It is 15 years old but has never been run. Is the setup to run it stock the same as discussed on the FP 20 and FP 40 threads? What size venturi and prop will be best? Thanks.

Try and 11-4 APC or similar Bolly. You can cut down a bolly 12" to about 11-1/14-11-1/2 .

It will run very nicely that way.

Keep in mind that there are apparently two different versions of the FP35. The early one has an iron piston. The newer is aluminum.

I've done em stock and also with the stuffed port trick but I like the stock internals setup better.

Bruce. The stock 35 FPS is just right as received from the factory. I recommend a 10-6 wood prop (balanced, of course). The ABC setup only requires a few minutes break-in at a rich setting. After that, they are GO!

Let's hear from the "experts". (I'm not one but I am running several OS 35 FPS motors, and they all work for me().

That is a terrible engine. Send it to me right away and I will relieve you of the hardship of having to deal with it. I will not charge you for this service.


(If you insist on keeping it and putting yourself through all that grief, tell me where you got it. Maybe I can help someone else avoid their misery.)
(Oh, by the way, an 11x5 Zinger, an APC 11x4, a BYO 11x6, all good props to try).
