Are Ukey Experienced?

Got a nearly new FP 20 sitting around and was wondering if it has enough oomph to drag a Ukey 35 around the circle. I originally put it on an Akromaster which turned it into a nice nose heavy rat racer but rendered it worthless for anything else. I know a good choice for the Ukey 35 is supposed to be the LA 25 but this 5 year old FP 20 seems quite strong. Opinions?---Mark

I have exactly the same combination and it flies very well. My FP20 was on a Ringmaster Jr. with the same result as yours. It was a pig. A fast pig, but a pig nonetheless......Give it a try, I think you'll like it fine.

Your .20 should handle the Ukey quite well. You may wish to try 52' lines for your first flight. Be sure to balance the Ukey on the spar, about half way out from the fuse. Have flown Ukeys with ASP, CS,and Irvine 20's or 21's and once with a MCoy .19 all worked just fine.

I agree, it should fly very well with the FP.20. I'd try a 9-4 APC & let the engine spin up into a wet two cycle.
