Fuel for OS .30/.35-S???

What should I run in an OS .30-S? Is 10% nitro to high? What about oil content?

I don't think 10% nitro would hurt it but you may want to use at least 25% all castor lube. They are notorious for eating connecting rods. Nice little motors otherwise.

Correction: not "may". You DO want to use at least 25% all castor in the fuel. They will generally run fine on 5% nitro, but 10% should be fine.

One time I ran out of my regular fuel and ran a few flights with fox Missle Mist. To my suprise it ran quite well. I would not advise that due to longevity considerations.

If you do not need the extra power, (small and light airplane at low altitudes), stay with the 5% nitro. 10% nitro is fine for all around use. You can go to 15% for higher altitudes. I use only 28% all castor for my OS 35S engines. My last one has over 600 flights and is still a strong engine with the 10% nitro 28% all castor GMA mix from Power Master here at sea level. I went to something less than 15% for Tucson and maybe 12 to 13% for Muncie.
