Took the Sig Skyray out this evening and after 2 tanks decided it was time for the 1st loop, what a thrill. Didn't know I had it in me. The Skyray performed beautifully, I really enjoy flying this little plane. After the loop was complete, I was a bit shaky leveling her off but got er done. I was surprised @ how quickly the Babe Bee got her through the manuever, real sweet. Anyway, I did a couple more and none was as pretty as the 1st, although no ground! Was a great experience & thanks to all for the advice. I'm going to keep practicing and try not to get a big head as I know it is not that big of a deal, but an accomplishment for me, none the less.
Way to go Bob. When I started back flying last year I did my first one with a Flite Streak ARF and a LA25. I was so excited I forgot to level off and before I knew it I was doing another one. My oldest son was with me (35 yr old) so I acted like It was part of the plan. lol
Ater a long layoff from the site here I am again. Isn't it great when you learn what that thing is for that you hang on to. Still waiting for grandaughter to complete her first loops. She has two figure nines so far. ---DOC Holliday
Hang in there, Doc. I have watched her fly twice. She is doing well for someone her age. When she does that first successful loop, there'll be no holding her back. Hope to see both of you in St. Louis this September.
