Ii just started flying again its been abuut 15 yrs, i have a couple of engine that need a part .Im looking for a crank for an atwood .051 the bolt for the prop broke and it looks like its all one piece with the crank.. i also need a jet needle for a fox 15 the head has a slanted glow plug . any info would be great .ibeen building my plains from scratch with on plans and ive been trying to build a succesful combat wing but no luck, helpful hints would be so helpfull. thanks and keep the shiny side up '

I have a needle valve for a FOX .15 slant glow plug head if you are talking about the CL motor. $3 including S&H. Private E-mail me your address.

Certainly isn't...don't know why that seemed called for. Welcome to the wonderful world of CL! Lotsa good combat designs floating around. Some of the guys will probably chime in here and point you to some. I haven't seen an Atwood since I was a kid!

thanks ray that atwood eng. riped,one day i was tighting it up and the prop shaft snaped , i was bummed because i dont have any place to find parts for it and T and A hobby lobby . tont and addie just closed there doors last mounth for retirement os now im lost i realy liked that engin
are there or is there a place that might beable to repaire it?

Try MECOA in Sierra Madre California. I bought a pair of Atwood .049 quite a few years back. They might have the parts.Go to their site and look in the vintage engine section they have a list of the Atwood parts,I saw the crankshaft listed as 17-AS02 for the .051.

You will have to mail your broken shaft to Australia so I can ID it.

Kreth,
It completely escapes me as to why you would automatically assume the worst about someone. Are you really that paranoid. Why would it hurt to be courteous even if you have suspicions about something...or better yet keep your mouth shut (or your keyboard) so as not to raise everyone else's blood pressure and make us all assume that you must be a "jerk". I personally think you should go fly only with the RC guys. However I doubt that they would tolerate that kind of behaviour either.

Sorry, I have a sore foot and don't want to hike anywhere. If you found my posting offensive you might consider why? As to lecturing... no such thing was done. Merely a suggestion that since you seemed to be so displeased with the discourse here you might be better served with a different forum. Personally I can think of a couple that would welcome you with open arms as they seem to be full of people just like you. If you really are so "old" and "independent" then you should be ashamed of yourself. Not that people like you ever are. Do not dispair, however, I've seen worse than you reform with a little effort.

I have a spare shaft, which I think is an Atwood shaft. A friend has all my other Atwood stuff. I'll get it back and check it out and let you know. There is a method where you can post a PM, private message, to anyone registered on the forum.

I sent Rubbertoe the needle valve and he promptly sent me the $3 I asked for it. I would say that he is not bogus. He just does'nt spell so well. Me neither sometimes.

By the way it would be interesting to learn how the Rubbertoe name came about???

ya, ya, my spellleeeng isnt so hot.I got the name Rubbertoe from my friend who's from peru,if you say robert in spanish it's roberto and if you break that down (rub-er-toe) it comes out Rubbertoe and it just stuck, My friends have been calling me that ever sense. I think it's funny so I use it, it's better than being called BOOBY but i still havent been able to get away from that one.OH well thats the life of a Rubbertoe, now its time to fly dont you know..

Like I said before I just started flying again and im just a beginer and i fly about as good as I spell,of corse i can just stright circles but i like doing loops and try to fly inverted,UPsidedown right?+ I make all of my plains from scratch,no plans,I just wing it and fly it, Ive built 1/2As and put .09 to .15 in them some fly prety good some not so good. but today I was flying one I built its about the same size as a buster and put a .35 I have in it went to do a loop and WEEDED that bird it was funny, so back to the drawing board.Right now Im just finishing a 1/2A I started a couple of days ago the wing is finished this one I got the plans off the net. its called a Zinger and im going to put an .09 in it,its coming out pretty nice so far im waiting for the glue to dry on the plywood doulbers,everything else is pretty much done just paint the fusealodge set the wing and fly that bird. but like GTRBABY says,plains vers the ground ,the ground has yet to loose.. love it.. thank's again Dave , this is for cowboy stunt#1 get well soon,I hope your foot feels better .... Time to go for the RUBBERTOE...
