OTS & Classic

Can someone explain what the difference is between OTS and Classic.
I see this a lot. I know what O.T.S. stands for just what the difference in the planes and patteren if any.

In Old Time Stunt (OTS)Planes are eligible if they were kitted, published or designed before 31 December 1952. They fly a pattern that is pretty markedly different than the one for classic which is the same as the modern pattern.

Classic aircraft are defined as those published, kitted or designed before 31 December 1969. Classic airplanes fly the same pattern as the modern era planes fly.

The Brodak catalog has a full description the OTS pattern. The intro pages also include the modern pattern, beginner pattern, and basic flight maneuvers.

Also, it includes a nice verbal description of other events such as scale, fun scale, carrier, and combat.

One thing I did not see mentioned is that you can fly your OTS plane in Classic using the modern pattern but you can not fly your Classic plane in OTS.
