Slight amplification:

At least for users in the USA, the "site:" segment is unnecessary. Also, if you're searching for a phrase, it does need to be in quotes.

I bookmarked the thread, so I can always go back to it. This is the SSW bookmark scheme, not browser 'favorites', tho that might also work. Steve

Well, SOMETHING'S changed.

I just tried the above techniques (as before), using my own name, and got only two results, as compared to the many that I used to receive. I had to delete the quotes from my "first-name last-name" combination to get anything at all. 'wonder what's changed.

Google is always revising its software to get rid of "click fraud" and "hit boosting". Maybe an unwanted side effect...
