Sneek peek of the Vector

I'm very grateful for the help and advice that has been given to me in this group while building my Vector over the past few months while building other models as well. And yes I did a "dumb thing" or two when doing the fillets and painting this model, but I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel...

Wider will come soon... It will be powered by a brand new OS LA-S 40. And it's on target to come out at around 45 oz.

Hi all,

It flies! I finally flew my Vector 40 for first time on Saturday morning while away on vacation at Port Stephens. It flew very nicely, thanks for asing and everthing was setup just right. Tip weight was 3/4 oz, CG right on the money, 60ft lines to start with, then 70's, 10% nitro fuel, Break in on 11x6 prop which I changed to a 10x6 for subsequent flights. All very good and I am very "very" happy with it.

It turns very sharply and my earlier concerns about elevator throw are now long gone. The OS LAS 40 is running like a dream and doing the 4-2-4 break nicely. All in all lovely little engine.

Now I just need to learn to fly the pattern correctly and I'm away. I'm a bit scared of breaking it so my squares and tri-angles are a bit lame at the moment. Nothing that a bit of practice won't fix. Thanks all for all your advice and help during the constructon phase. I guess it's up to me now.
