Going to Brodak's?

Hello all,

I'm heading to Brodak's this weekend with the kids. Most likely be there all day Saturday. Just going as a spectator, nothing suitable to fly and never learned to do the whole pattern anyway.
I just want to see, and have the kids see, some of the top flyers and their airplanes and watch them do their stuff.
It would be nice to put a face with the name, so to speak, if I happen to meet up with anyone who frequents this board.

I'm more of one of the bottom flyers instead of the top, but I'll be there. Look for the 30ish fat guy with the blue monokoted Time Machine with Navy markings.......

I'll be there from tomorrow on, PM 95 Patternmaster, Pizza wagon profile, Yellow Jameson OTS.

I wish I could go this year! I could see jimmy Dammerell, the Z-Man, Larry Scarinzi, etc, etc, etc.

But, it isn't in the cards. Maybe next year......

I'll be flying Int. PAMPA with a blue and white Time Machine, and Int. Classic with an orange and white Oriental (Brodak kit for extra points <g>).

Also, will be wearing a Tampa Bay Line Flyers hat and/ or shirt.

Tim...how will we recognize you?

At least I'm going to a Bluegrass/Old time festival next weekend - Bayou Seco from Albequergue and Mike Nelson the only other bluegrass mandolin playing control liner on the planet (apart from Tim Mctigue and me of course).

Well, looks like I may be able to observe on Thurs. Won't be able to bring a plane and fly, otherwise I'd be obvious, I'm in the very top...uh, of the bottom 10 percent...you know, just like school!

Well, at least it's nice to be leading the group of good guys!

Hey Tools, I'm bringing four planes, two profiles, one OTS and one incomplete All American Sr for Walter Unland to check out. If you want, and have strong heart, you can fly my modified Magician. I call it "The Sorcers Apprentice" cause it's not quite a Magician anymore! Nice and twitchery, what ever that means. Kinda like on final, hook down, wheels down, flaps down, power down, oops. I went with my son Jesse,who was 8 at the time back in 1999. we also went as observers. Having never seen the pattern till then I was in awe. Been back ever since. My wife went last year and had a good time. You will have blast and don't be shy to introduce your self to others. Jesse and I will be flying together in beginners. If you see a skinny dark hair guy with a 12 year old in the pits, that us. Hope see you there.

I will be the tall skinny old f*rt with the big blue and white Ringmaster in intermediate profile and the ugly blotchy red and white Omnium in intermediate PAMPA... Praying the wind isn't too bad and the rain will give us time to fly..

I'll be the 40 year old guy dragging his 11 year old daughter,
and getting dragged around by his 8 year old son.
Just look for the guy who's looking at print-outs of the SSW replies trying to match up planes with flyers to figure out who's who. See you on Saturday.

Hope your bringing your stuff this year. I met you at the first one you attended. It was my first too. Hope you bring home some trophies. We flew with Al Knight a couple of weeks later, I was in nvcl.

Little kids and big commitments keep me from Brodaks this year.

Since you have the tickets and can`t go,how about me driving up there and use them. Then I can fly to the Brodak meet. HA!

Too bad that I can't go. I've go to save some cash for Jul 15-19. I have fond memories of the 1999 event, the red-eyed creatures my wife so dearly feared. I also sat and talked with GMA for a long time. We got to know each other pretty well that Saturday and Sunday. His presence will be missed there.
