We flew 75 mph combat, Balloon Bust and Big Goodyear racing. We had 5 to 10 children and adults, including our Park Administrator, got intro flights courtesy of Jim and Pete Lee and Melvin Schuette along with the the KISS 36 plane from Mike Ogren. It worked quite well Mike, thank you.
Some pictures of the event, I never take enough, will be up on the Kansas City Control Line page shortly. I've got them shrunk and thumbnailed, but I'm a crispy critter thanks to forgetting sunblock, and need to get a shower and some Aloe Vera. Tomorrow it should be taken care of.

If you live in the area, we need to see your face at the park Fridays at 6. Melvin and I will be talking about adding some carrier to the next event. Ed Trader our Park Rep has indicated he wants AT LEAST one event a year. If we get him flying, we may have to have many. The crowd turnout was less than expected, but that is PR work that we need to do better next time. I'll canvas the area better. As soon as we get a more active club, there will be more folks to find the crowd.
It was a beautifl day, though I think the only flight I put in was to verify the Club trainer was ready to go. Oh, Jim Lee put the trainer through it's paces and remarked, 'That thing don't fly half bad.' It still needs tip weight added, but after 20 or so intro flights, and several bad landings due to a clunk tank that was stuck forward, the plane is no worse the wear. I might try to find a flatter prop for the TT 25 gp on it though, with the motor singin along it's a tad fast, but it groves well.
