A question:
Why do so few (or any?) people use tube and wire hinges? They are:
The simplest
The free-est
The strongest
The easyest
The closest fitting
I was thinking this while glueing in the horrioble little plastic hinges on my ARF Nobler. This is the first time I've ever used anything but tube and wire since I read an article by Dave Platt in early '58.
So why do they seem out of favour? I am puzzled
