I have seen several fly now and also seen several variations by the builders. I saw one this weekend that had been stripped and recovered in Micafilm and cleared by John Violette. All I have seen so far have the ST 51 for power. To say I am impressed would be an understatement! The airplane flys very well and is very well designed. As mentioned in previous threads no one seems to know the designer but I can tell you for sure it is NOT a TP airfoil. Much thinner at both the root and tip and not as blunt or high point as far forward as the TP.
The moments are very good and seems to match up very well for most engine possibilities. I strongly suggest this as a good plane for side or rear exhaust engines. The rear exhaust engines(PA, RO-Jett) can be fitted with a header muffler and seem to work fine. Dorin at Gator props is flying a 61 RE with a header muffler but I have not got reports back yet on his findings since I sent the muffler.
When the Streaga comes on line I feel there will be two really good expert level planes for the aspiring pilots that are short on time and do not want to abuse his/her front row efforts at the local grass field or working on those 5' bottoms!
