Gang --

Hey, I'll bet a bunch of us "used" Christmas to get some new toys. Whadja get? Did your subtle hints work?

I got a Brodak ME-109, and as soon as the last pair of tail lights disappear from the driveway, I am going to start smearing some CYA around her lovely body.

I got an OS40VF. and a Brodak Legacy. BUT the mail dude did'nt knock on the DOOR and I got to waite untill tomorrow to get THEM!!!!!!! Oh the pain, the pain.

Santa was good to me this year, He knew exactly what I wanted and needed.

He knew I was going to build a new classic ship this year, a Vum 18, a Hungarian design. He also knew that it would really look great, slim and trim, if it used one of those neat Stalker 40's with the rear exhaust.

He must have figured out that I was designing a new stunter for the PAMPA classes. I think he overheard me saying that I wanted to try 4 stroke power on it. Imagine my surprize to recieve a sparkeling new Saito 72 to power it with.

He probably heard that I've been having more than my share of computer problems. My new mother board croaked and I had to install a new one. Fortunatly, it was under warranty. Within a week after getting it running, I got a nasty little virus that required I re-format the hard drive. Several more days to get everything loaded and running, so he was kind enough to get me a CD burner to back up all my files too. Much nicer than using a zip drive, 3 CD's vs 13 zip drives. On top of that, he got me a new hard drive, one big enough to last me for a while. (Remember when we thought that we could never fill up a 4 gig drive?) and to top it all off, upgraded me to Windows ME.

Now, as soon as some things slow down enough, and I can finish a few projects that absolutly have to get finished, I can start building those new ships rather than putz with the computer.

Santa is the greatest.

Justin--the 9 year old--was supposed to get an OS 10 for the models the McIntyres (Judge Joan and husband John) gave him for his birthday, but 'Mrs Claus' just left it under the bed because I don't have the rumpus room finished! Drat

Dremel appear to be positioning the MultiPro as a handyman tool and several hardware chains had the 40 piece kit for about 2/3 of list price. I made sure Mrs Claus didn't mess with that one.

Emery boards are the greatest things.Sand paper helps with all the mistakes I make. Like forgetting to put in the landing gear before securing the wing to a Majician 15 (doh!) Oh, and a top loader air brush.

My best buddy, and flying partner, has bought me either a Brodak Galaxy or a Super Clown for Christmas!! We'll know which it is when it arrives. (Unbelievable mail service - two and a half weeks and counting) I was wanting to build another plane or two before spring, so this is PERFECT!!

With a shedful of balsa, kits, plans and engines and several planes currently under consruction, Santa deemed that I needed something that would assist with the tidying up so he left me a Black and Decker hand held vacuum cleaner woohooooooo!

It's brilliant, no more clouds of Balsa dust when I sweep and If I suck up an irreplaceable bit of hardware I only have to grovel through a small volume of crud rather than a 10 litre dustbag.

Brodak Nobler, Stuka Stunt Magnum 36, and a cherry 1972 Enya 19. And the Stephen Ambrose book on the building of the transcontinental railroad. By my standards, anyway, neat stuff!!

I got books. Reference books. Combat Aircraft of WW2. I also got a Brodak "Oriental". My flying partner got me a book on "How to Fly U-Control". Sort of a gentle jab. I gave him an olde McCoy 35. Mostly though I got to feed my grandson his first Christmas dinner. Priceless.

Didn't get any Christmas Toys; However, Rollin Keszler and I both have Bordak Legacy kits on the way. His for Christmas, I guess, mine for my Birthday 9 Jan.

HAY recived the Legacy and the OS 40vf and it looks like a good combo. The kit is very good, with a good hardware package. Looking forward to build this stunter. scott. got to go FLYING this morning HE HE HE!!!

HI folks, my family dosn't know much about C/L so I allways get a bunch of balsa of various thickness and this year the added bonus of some thick CA and slow cure epoxy a good haul to be sure.

Great Stunt Christmas. Wife and family very good this year. Alot balsa plus gift certificate to Lone Star. Windy Video subsription, air compressor, and much needed drill press. It's going to be a great building season.
