Wing area and aspect ratio

I realize some very knowledgeable people do not go over to RCO so thought I would re-post this here for some additional input. I am in the process of building a SIG Somethin'Extra as a control line stunt ship and have ran into a situation with the wing that I just do not have the knowledge to sort out. I am planning on doing away with the removable wings and am wondering which would be the best way to go with the new wing platform.

I pulled out the Somethin'Extra plans and did some measuring.. First off I just realized this wing has a pretty low aspect ratio and am wondering how this will effect the overall performance of the finished product. I came up with 3 options to join the wing halves and am trying to decide which would be the best way to go....

The first option would be to just join the two wing halves at the existing root rib and add another panel to the tips. This would result in a 741 sq in wing with an aspect ratio of 4.3 to 1 (I am including flaps calculated to be about 10% of the new wing area)

The second option would be as above but not add the extra panel. This would negate the need to come up with another tip rib and produce a 636 sq in wing with an aspect ratio of 3.6 to 1.. This would be the easiest but am wondering about that low aspect ratio....

The last option would be something in between which would result in a 676 sq in wing with an aspect ratio of 4 to 1.

My two concerns are 1. Will a GMA Jett 50 haul around a 741 sq in wing? I also have a NIB Stalker 61 SE but would rather use the Jett 50. 2. If I go with option #2 and drop the wing area down to 636 sq in. The Jett 50 should handle it OK but the result would be a very low aspect ratio wing which concerns me...

BTW just for reference the root rib is 2 1/4 inches thick by 12 inches long and am kinda stuck with this airfoil if I want to keep the plane looking anything like the original.
