source of prefinished eyelets for leadouts

Just read leadout thread and wondered if anyone knows where to buy pre-smashed eyelets in bulk? The leadout kits come with two. I always need four. I've used aluminum ones from an old pair of Converse Chuck Taylor tennis shoes, but slightly too big for my liking (and I'm out of old shoes). Can a buy something at a sewing/fabric shop to smash the ends down on unfinished eyelets? I'm always begging for these at the field.

The City of Chicago provides for a free supply of the eyelets.

Streets and Sanitation Department uses two brass eyelets on each of their temporary street "No Parking" signs to mark the side of the street for street cleaning. A string goes through the eyelet
to tie the sign to lamp posts, street signs, etc.

Because the parking fine for parking on the side of the street to be cleaned is $ 50.00, you probably should wait until AFTER the street cleaning before filching the eyelets. (Neighbors who get parking tickets on your account can be quite unpleasant.)

Incidentally, SIG uses them for sealing the little parts baggies, using the piece of cardboard at the top. When they want to sell the eyelets (such as when the CL fliers come to town and demand they sell them), they just take a piece of cardboard, and run it through their eyelet squashing machine.
