Does anyone make fiberglass cowls and wheel pants for the Sig Chipmunk? Geez, I hate that plastic stuff...But I a great deal on a kit this weekend.

You might better be served carving a balsa front end ala the Sig CL-3 Chipmunk. I did this on my Akrobat and it was a vast improvement over the plastic.
That being said, there is alot of data about molding fiberglass out there, most recently Windy's article in Stunt News a couple of issues ago. For the Super Chip you could mold two halves like the plastic ones, and join them. At least they would hold up better then the plastic!

Thank you, Steve. I could certainly do that; I worked as a mold maker for 11 years (in another time and place). Time is more the issue. I would consider using the plastic parts as a plug if they look good enough. I think, without having measured it, that the cowl has enough draft to do in one piece with a silicone mold. But by the time I prepare the plug, round up the silicone, release agent, resin, cloth, and make the thing.....For a one-off I'd just as soon buy the thing and be done with it. Knew I had never seen one advertised or mentioned.
