Magnum XL-30RFS Single / Four Cycle

Hi Everyone. I have been playing around with the idea of trying a four cycle engine for control line. No real reason other than curious. Tower has the Mag XL-30RFS listed for about all I would want to spend and I am wondering what the experts think about the feasibility of it. Thanks.

I think the Magnum 4-cycle is lagging in technology and not one of the engines of choice. The OS Surpass (not the older versions) and the current offerings from Saito (the lightest of the current batch) seem to be high on the list. Although a bit more expensive, you will be happier if you choose one of these.

Leonard is, as we usually find, correct.

The Magnum pretty much sucks. It has about the power of a .15, with all of the bad points of a 4 stroke.

Buy mine.... it's properly broken in,and has very low time.

Motors like the Magnum line are the reason the 4strokes are allowed the displacement advantage.
