We have been hacked

Apparently someone hacked the site and deleted all three forums on the site. I was able to restore the main two forums through a back up utility, but we may have lost some of the archives. I know the count has changed as we were well over 2000 postings at the time. I guess I learn to back up more frequently now, and, if it happens again, I will change some names of the files and folders to hide them better. This would involve a change in URL so I will reserve that for last resort. I can change my password easy enough and try that.

As Maxwell Smart used to say, "Sorry about that, Chief." We will hope to do better in the future. Welcome back to the board.

I got all of the archives back on the main two forums, thanks to a little help from the author of the software that we base this forum on.

Sheesh! Of all the places to hack into. It's not like this is VISA central or something. I recently got an email from egghead.com. Someone hacked into their site and were trying to steal credit card numbers or something. Most hackers do it for the challenge; most are not generally destructive, but there are some.

Glad you were able to get back most of it.
