Does anyone out there know if the control line business
of the late Bob Pitkin was taken over by somone? I liked
his lines and would like to purchase some.

I read someplace that Tom Morris is making lines to order, if you insist. But as I recall, he'd rather sell bulk spools of the new smooth braided wire. Steve

Has anyone actually seen &/or used any of that new smooth stuff?

I have just recieved two sets of lines that I had Tom make for me. I have not actually flown them, but they look really nice and the workmenship is first rate! They are silver in color which will make them much easier to see that the brown ones.

Thanks Roy. I'm also curious about thier weight. It seems to my (admittedly feeble) mind that smaller strands of the same material (SS?) packed more tightly together into the same diameter cable would make them more dense, which I'm thinking would make them heavier. Not enough to matter maybe? That's the first thing I noticed when I started using .018 lines was that they were heavier, which caused considerably more line whip.
