Please, sit tight! Here goes...
1. For starters, I’m a born again Christian to whom the most important thing in life is to serve my Lord Jesus and live accordingly to His will.
2. I believe Jesus wants all people to become friends with God, and develop a personal relationship with Him through the faith in His Son Jesus Christ.
3. He speaks to me, in various manners. Through the Bible, through circumstances, through some "coincidences" that I don’t see as coincidences at all, and sometimes by putting thoughts in my mind that I’m sure wouldn’t come from my own limited brain (the trash FAI thing certainly was not the case...
)
4. I’ve been deliberately posting a lot of messages in order to get you folks to know me better, so that when I started talking about my faith and the fact that Jesus loves you all and wants to live in your hearts you all wouldn’t dismiss me as a crackpot, a fruitcake, a nut or just a religious fanatic. This doesn’t make my friendship for the guys I’ve been more in touch with any less less sincere.
5. Of course I love stunt, but let me make it clear that in my heart stunt became more of a means than an end. What I really want is to bring my fellow U-Controllers and Jesus closer. If I can do that flying stunt, so much the better!
6. It sounds logic to me: I love Jesus. I love stunt. I love my neighbour. What an opportunity to join these loves, take pleasure in this beautiful sport and do the work I know the Lord wants me to do!
7. I started practising seriously because Jesus told me to do so (!) (don’t get jumpy, look back to item 3). It has earned me the respect of my fellow U-Controllers here in Rio, that are witnessing a pretty fast progress in my flying while seeing that I live like a person that has a commitment with the living God. Being able to do a good pattern will allow me to go to contests, and to get in touch with pilots from all over the country, and God willing, from all over the world. And spread the good news, that the kingdom of God is at hand.
8. I have been practising as much as I can, but I give all credit of my relatively swift progress to my Lord. Even though I sound enthusiastic like a kid, I’m 54 years old, an age were some of my friends here in Rio say they’re losing their reflexes, the same ones I’m in the process of acquiring. To me this can only be explained by the power of God in my life.
9. I have all your names on a prayer list, and I pray every day that you all get to know the Lord Jesus and that you all get to understand that He loves each one of you as if you were the only human being on the face of earth. And that he died for your sins, so that you can all become acceptable unto the eyes of God, a task that is humanly impossible due to our (let’s be honest and admit it) no-good human nature.
I have a beautiful rapport with Bob Hunt. He treats me a his brother in Christ. Same with Joe Bellcranck.
I became a member of the Fellowship of Christian Modelers, recently.
Among the guys on FCM are Allen Brickhause, Crist Rigotti, John Sunderland, and of course, Bobby.
French philosopher Rosseau believed, that man was essentially "good" , and what "spoiled" and made people become mean and do mean things were injustice, poverty and so on. If in man’s nature goodness was inherent, there would be no injustice and poverty, for starters.
Our nature is no-good. We are fallen creatures. It's like if someone ran with a lawnmower over your best blazer.
It can't be fixed, it gotta be replaced!
So is the "old man" in us. We need to become new creatures, the "New man".
Sinning was natural to the old man . Sinning is unnatural to the new man The old man was a habitual sinner. The new man is not a habitual sinner. The old man cannot lead a holy life . The new man cannot lead a sinful life.
