Headers

Hi,

Does anyone know who makes side to rear or just tight radius headers? I'm looking for one that just make a tight turn without looping to the rear.

any ideas?

If you want it for a "smaller" engine, you are in luck - use the type that RC Buggy drivers like, and cut it off in the middle after it makes the first sharp 90 degree corner (these have two such bends, totalling 180 degrees, and bringing the exhaust around from the rear to the front of the engines, unless the ones I've seen are intended to carry the exhaust from the right side to the left on side exhaust motors, which doesn't seem like it would be of much use!)

I am pretty sure I've never had enough interest in the 1/8th and 1/10th size cars to look closely enough to have determined the layout of the engine mount setup they use. Maybe if they were not priced as if made from platinum, I'd be less turned off by the things.

Don't be mad, Randy...the devil made me do it. Sorry, it was a cheap yuk, and I'm ashamed. As for the manifold, I would try to find out if RSmith makes his own manifolds or if he has them done. What about fabing the bits yourself and having it welded? You seem like an above average D.I.Y. guy! Steve

Smith's manifolds are done by an outfit called Johnson Headers in Arizona or New Mexico or something. I used to have the number.

I'll probably call Windy and see what he has. This is for a future project so no big deal. I'm planing a "fun" Classic plane.
