Hinges

Howdy,

What is the best type of hinge to use with a 60 size stunter. I have not seen this discussed before and I have no idea. I know it comes down to personal preference, but I still would like others ideas.

I always use the 1/4 scale Klett hinges. I have never had any problems with this hinge and recommend their use.

I use Klett "Large" hinges. These are the ones with removable pins. They are the only ones that consistently flop under their own weight. The DuBro, etc, work fine, but you have to spend a lot of time removing flash to get them really free.

I guess we like to spend time cleaning the flash, because we use DuBros. They are relatively thin and quite durable, unlike some others we have tried and had them break in midair.

The removeable pin type that Brett uses have their advantage, though, especially during painting. And they make it possible to do things, like make several sizes of flap to see which works the best on your latest worldbeater.
