I need to make a 90 deg fuel inlet to a needle valve due to limited space in an engine compartment. Anyone know if a short piece of 3/32 OD 1/16 ID K&S brass tubing will allow enough fuel flow for a 60?

It certainly should, but if you need to know for sure, stick a piece in the the line of an existing ship and see if it makes any difference. Just remember that the needle, itself, is going to have a far greater restriction--even the inlet hole at the needle, not to mention the needle, itself, adding additional restriction. On the other hand, we want the fuel to be able to flow as restriction free as possible up to the needle so that the needle itself becomes the "player" in the action. The earlier the final restriction comes in the line (read that "remote needle") the slower will be the response of the engine in a maneuver.

PLENTY big enough. I haven't measure it, but hte feed side of a PA needle is pretty small - certainly less than 1/16 and probably in the .045 range.

Actually the inlet hole on the PA needles are .045 and the center spray bar hole is .043 (at least on the ones I have). And that .043 hole is the one that is choked down by the needle, so you get the idea of how little is needed. However, we never want to put that much of a restruction anywhere in the line before that point. That said, a short length of 1/16 ID tubing should not be a problem. Just remember, that like with a water hose, the longer the tube, hose, whatever, the more it slows the flow of the fluid. So it would not work efficiently to have a long tube that was only .045 in diameter, and I would think it not advisable for a lengthy tube of .062 diameter, either.

It will just be long enough to make a 90 so should work fine...

The question is will the I.D. still be .060 after it's bent??

A certain unnamed ananomis R/C perveyor may force the issue comparing it to Bill Gates controlling us all. If that were to happen it means control line is a threat to our american way of life. What a problem to have!
