I heard someone remark that the Quaser is Bob English's variation on the Colossus. It sure is a great looking ship.

Looks like the Quasar has some kind of trmming device on the outboard wing.

Are you hip to what that is?

The Quasar is a variation of the Collossus and the "pilot" is hand carved balsa. The Lunar shown is not an I beamer, but a C type wing. I have the plans by Warren and there is an I beam version. Now to all of you that have an Ares kit waiting to be built, Brodak is coming out with the 61 Ares. If I can build an I beam Ares, then anyone that has ever built a full fuselage plane, a profile, or even a combat wing, can also build an I beam plane. The one point I learned from Bill Werwage is to be sure to make the trailing edge where the control horn sits, is cut straight and the horn end go into the very edge of the flaps. The trailing edge is swept forward on the Ares and the placement of the flap horn can be critical. Other wise it is not hard to build, in fact I found it not any harder than a kit Nobler. It is almost too pretty to cover the wings, so be warned.
Correction: That Lunar is an I beamer. I was thinking of the Vulcan that looks very much like the Lunar and is not an I beamer, but there are plans for an I beam version. Man, getting old sucks.
