I seem to have missed on who won OT. The first day's leaders were mentioned, but I can't seem to find where it ended up on the 2nd day.

I wasn't taking notes at the award dinner but do remember that the "most fun" award was (for the first time in VSC history) awarded to two people. One of these was Larry Oakley from Oklahoma City and the presenter mentioned that his "wind flying" a 27 year old Thunderbird on Thursday was a big factor. Don't know who the other recipient was. But this answers 1/2 your question.

I heard that Larry Oakley was in the running for most fun award but he did not attend the banquet. Does this disqualify him?

Apparently Larry did some wind flying with his T bird which folks seemed to think was both neat and fun. I don't know about that but it sure saves fuel.

Lou Wolgast and the Chola Choppers club put on an absoloutely outstanding VSC. Mike and Joann Keville have left it in good hands!

De Hill. Can't let this opportunity go by without expressing my thanks to everyone who organized and worked their little tails off at VSC. That includes you, De.

It was a three ring circus! A great happening. Where else can you go and see planes like the flying star, and other old time and classic planes that are the best of the best. The choppers did a great job at running the contest, and the awards banquet. Hats off to these guys. They must have put in a lot of time for such a large contest. This was my second year, and am looking forward to next year. The only down side to the whole thing was finding out that Dr Spark is not a real Dr. Burst my bubble. Jim Kraft
