Sometimes it's been known to rain at the Dallas Meets and we've been plagued with swamp-like conditions. Contestants have had their lines strung out in mud and even under water. Yuch! Ankle deep in some places. People gripe a lot but not much is ever done. But now, with Prez. Don Hutchinson, Dave Ek, and others in touch with Ken Beam at the Park Service, things are a'changin'. First the circles were re- surfaced with asphalt and for the last two Fridays we've had the benefit of a grader and many loads of fill dirt. Dave is a whiz with his Dave Brown level and shoots the grades whilst Don holds the measuring rod. Looks a little rough at the present, but has been reseeded and a lttle rain will fix it right up. A lot of rain will tell us if it worked- hopefully water will go where we've pointed it. Make plans for the June Dallas Aero Summer Heat (DASH) Contest and enjoy good times, good food, and a good raffle and auction- lots of good stuff- kits, motors,supplies, etc. Best regards,
