Ukey ARF has a new producer!

As mentioned in previous threads, J & J Sales has been looking for someone to take over the production of the popular Ukey series of ARF kits.
We recieved about 9 serious inquires, shortened that to 3 that we felt were capable and serious enough to take on the challange. We have now chosen Jim Pearson of Marietta, Ga. as the person best qualified to continue manuifacturing and selling these planes. Jim is an accomplished foam cutter and approaches the Ukey line with a great deal of enthusiasm.

Jim will actually be providing Ukeys sometime after Sept. In the meantime we do have some Ukeys left, but they are going fast.
We hope that you will give Jim the curtesy and following that we enjoyed in the past. J & J will continue serving the control line fraternity in other endevors.

Our thanks go out to all that considered keeping the Ukey line going.

This is very good news!
Glad you found the right person to continue the Ukey.
Will he be re-indroducing the Ukey 15 or just sticking with the 35 & 40?

Rick, I dont believe he will bring out the Ukey 15 again, but that will be his decision. While the 15 was a great flyer it was a dismal flop sales wize. I still have two of the 15's that I fly frequently.(That is before the accident)

Gee, the only Ukey I own is the 15. I'm running a Norvel BigMig 15 on it with an 8-4 prop and 2oz plastic tank.

They do come out a bit tail heavy so I had to stick some noseweight up there. It does fly well and is a hoot to yank around the sky.

My 11 year old just put his first flight on the Ukey 15 last weekend. It should be a great aerobatic trainer.

Put him on a Ukey 35 with a .25 something or other! Great stunt flyer for any age!

Gald to hear that they'll be going back into production. Without the Ukey I would never have learned how to fly the pattern!

I too am pleased to hear it will continue. From all I have heard it is a good, rugged airplane that has given a lot of guys a "leg up" in C/L. Best of all, it is American Maid! (pun in the last, in case none of you have ever watched "The Tick")...
