Does Devcon = JB Weld

Before I go ahead and glue the arrow shaft can anyone tell me is Devcon High Strength, made in USA, 2,500 lbs per sq in, work time 60mins, handling 6hrs and full strength in 16hrs, the same or as good as JB weld. It's on a 40 size model.

I can't tell you if it is. If you need JB Weld, give my your mailing address and I'll get some in the mail to you ASAP. No charge, I know how much trouble it is for you guy's to get it. This way you can do what you need to and do some testing to find an alternitive.

Devcon will work fine it might even be better then JB. My first choice would be Marine-Tex grey.

If you are concerned, JB Weld seems to be unavailable in Oz in the sorts of places that you might expect--hardware stores and the like.

K Mart has it on the east coast, try them in WA.

Now all we need to worry about is how fresh the stuff is..

Well I used the Devcon today. It is better to work with than I was expecting being sticky and not runny, I haven't used this type of epoxy before. Thanks to all who answered, especially Larry Foster for a most generous offer to send some.

Well good old K-mart a, they have it in the glue section ok, the last place I would have looked. Thanks.

Maybe because JB Weld is a two part compound the shelf life is not as critical. The JB Weld I have been using to block boost ports on my OS FPs and TOWER .40 still works fine and is at least 15 years old.
