OS 20 FP?

Anyone have a new or nearly new OS 20 FP they's like to get rid of, sell?

I'll be putting it in a Flight Streak ARF as a trainer for our new flying circle.

Hey Dave: Don't rule out a 25 FP. I assume you are going to be running this in high rpm mode anyway. Just put a smaller venturi on it. You will be throttling it back, getting better fuel draw, but, essentially, the same power, the same weight, same run.

I have an OS 20FP on my streak ARF is is as fast as the Fox 35's. I have 3 additional OS 20's, in excellent condition, and can certainly accomodate you if you still want one. Dennis

Still, you are on the right track. My ARF Flite Streak with a 25FP (modded RSM tongue muffler) is grossly over-powered for what I want from the FS.

Incidentally, I went to the length of spending approximately 50% of the price of the ARF on a couple fuel tanks, what with nearly instantly rejecting the stock unit. While the GRW 3.25-ounce chicken hopper tank works quite well, much better than the inboard-mounted Tettra tank, I find myself short-filling the tank nearly always. Yep, to about 2 ounces, or approximately the capacity of stock tank.

Look, I have never claimed to be very smart when it comes to equipment pressed into service in pursuit of CL Flying Fun.

Ya I discovered at Brodaks that a 25 FP with an air filter and muffler will run well over 10 minutes on 3 ounces of fuel

Thanks for the advice on the tank, I'll take a look at it. The planes are backordered till Aug sometime though.

To answer you question, the Veco is worn out, however I have several new ones, but this is probably going into the ground a lot. I don't want to damage any of the new Vecos by ripping a very nice Big Art muffler off the side of the exhaust.
