GMS Engines on Tower's web site

I was looking at the new line of GMS engines on Towers web page and was wondering if anyone has tried to convert one for stunt? Something I dont understand though is why are most of the engine makers designing the engines with square heads, and is that why so many of the new engines on the market today seem so heavy?

GMS motors have had a spotty reputation, quality wise. I don't know about more recent examples.
As to using them for stunt someone will probably say that they are too heavy. Funny thing though, so are 4 cycles but that dosn't stop anyone from using them.

I have one of the .32's. Very nice fit and quality. Has lots of power but it is, like a lot of modern engines, a bit of a screamer. I have not run it on suction or tried to see how it would do for stunt. My guess is to use a fairly flat prop and let it spin.

I had a GMS 47 I used for Radio Control and it was a screamer, high rpm motor. Made more power than most other 46's. The weight didn't bother in an RC ship. But there are to many other good control line motors. If you want a good u-control motor for a resonable price several people sell the OS 46 LA ready to stunt and the price is right!! or go to Tower or.
