Nobler ARF price hike in the north.

Great Hobbies of PEI, have pushed the TF Nobler ARF price from $119.00can to $149.00can dollars up here in the Great White North. According to the on-line catalog. Glad I got my order in at the lower price. Flight Streak price is still at 99.00can dollar. Wonder if there was a mistake made. Hmmm? How about in the rest of the world? Maybe it's just the ever plunging Canadian dollar.

$149.00? Your getting off light....I just priced one in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan when I was passing through and they had one for $189.00! My jaw is still hurting from when it hit the floor.

The price is what the market will bear. Are there a lot of choices around? Do you want one? How badly?

Saskatoon!!! I was there too. I even got to meet an old flying buddy ( actually the guy who got me started) plus I took along my Twister and flew it in a school yard. Great fun especially the wind!

I was in Saskatoon last week and was talking to Warren the owner of the shop. I mentioned the Nobler and he said it was on and off the shelf in a matter of days. They have a small contingent of F/F and control line guys up in that area. Oh and by the way the city still allows control line models in the parks there, you just have to abide by the local noise ordinances.

It sounded like the advertised price was a mistake. We called up to check on our order (3) and she told us the price would be $149 per unit, but after some discussion we got them for the advertised price.

Well Tower Hobbies (towerhobbies.com) still lists the price at $99.99 (US) and they are currently running a promotion which will give you $5 off. They claim to ship to Canada.

Yeah, it was obviously a mistake. $99 US translates into about $140 CAD, at today's rates. Add the middleman's take...

Depends on how much your order totals. Up to $149.99, 011FM ($5), up to 199.99, 011FN ($10), to $249.99, 011FP ($15) (FP, get it? I couldn't resist). When I ordered two ARF Noblurs from Tower, I gave them a discount code for $10, which was the deal at the time (June). Will they honor that, when delivery will probably be in September?

I just checked with Ken at Great Hobbies here in Edmonton. I had ordered a nobler a few months ago and they will honor the old $119.95 price. Any new orders will be at the new price....

Hi Rob, we ordered our Nobler's through Great Hobbies in Edmonton as well, when I called the 800 number to check on the order I was told they didn't have any in Edmonton and didn't know when the next shipment would get there, but they had three in their eastern shop and did we want those? So if you want your Nobler sooner check on the status of your order through the 800 number though you'll probably have to fight with them to get $119 or you could wait for the Edmonton store to get their order with no hassle on the price.

I just got back (Aug. 24th) from Great Hobbies in Edmonton a few hours ago. The lady at the desk just told me that they had an order for another twenty (or maybe thirty) ARF Noblers and ten were spoken for already. The price was going to be $149.95 (CDN) for the new one's and she didn't know when they would arrive. She never said anything about they're Eastern store having any, nor what the price on those was. I guess I will order one from source and get it over with.

And Saskatoon is a beautiful city. Wished I could have found work there, but Saskatchewan is not the place to be right now for government types.
