Fun-Fly ALMOST turns ugly...

#1 sourceThis one is too real. It's happened more than once to the Arctic Circles. While flying on a softball field with full permission of the local authorities, we've had folks walk onto the field and start throwing balls around with no regard for their own safety or ours. Some folks just don't think! On those occasions we have called the gendarmes and have shown them the permit. The softballers were then asked to leave, and, in one case, physically escorted from the area.
We do everything we can to co-exist with other parks and rec users, but sometimes there is no reasoning with them. SIGH!

The just of it is if a couple of you were tossing around a ball at that field, the newcomers would likely had sought another place to play.
I related on a recent thread where, in an officially designated flying area of a city park, we had a disagreement with a young woman who wanted to play frisbee with her dog on the same field.

If that's a 6" wrench in your hand, I would advise you that it's too small. Size does matter, you know.

I was a couple of steps behind wealding the camera and an 11" APC. No one was gettin' out alive...

#5 source I must admit that the fellow looked alot like ricky martin and we were on the field FIRST! But with good luck they only played catch and hit balls onto the backstop. Was rather a fine day for flyin in socal (oceanside). Around 70, very light mist with maybe 5 mph winds and great engine runs and laugh's. Couldn't help but take the pic, only wish I had a 12 inch cresent instead of the 6
