Five Thousand Posts and Counting

Well, guys (and gals), it looks like we made 5000 posts to this forum in just a little under a year. And that is with the elimination of the duplicates (and the follow-ups saying, "I am sorry".) And not a single "get rich quick" or "How do I fix my Honda?" or "Kryoleum rocks".

With all the new users continually registering (come on, guys, out of the bushes and post something. Ask a question or give an answer!) and the present rate of activity, I would expect the next 5000 posts will come a lot sooner.

July to (almost) July for the first 5000. Care to try for 10,000 by the end of the year?

This board is great and is my 1st choice for posting questions and even replying. It seems that this board may be getting a lot of those from over at another unnamed site that has had a few problems in the past and lately.

We all wonder how many posts you delete to keep this site "right". You do nothing to keep newbies or cocky old-timers like me from posting the stupidest of ideas. You do nothing to prevent a good discussion, and do nothing but help in aiding the discussion. You "do nothing" right well, but we suspect you also "do something."

This is a good place to get answers, with no fear of getting "shot down." Everytime I have a doubt, I wipe the epoxy off my fingers, and dash off a note. It always works! I always get a useful answer!

Everyone sticks to the basic subject of models, and do not digress into Jungian psychology, or politics, or other unrelated subjects. This is your basic, hard core, CL site.

I have made more mistakes on this site than I have made in most other areas of my life, and the harshest words were, "Uhh, show us your work."

It is a kind and friendly place where mispelings and other mistaks don't mateer, and ideas rool.

This really is a great BBS Leonard. It always opens quickly & always remembers who you are, no putting in usernames & passwords. Sorta reminds me of "Cheers". No stupid little cutsie video adds either. I think this is the site that will replace Isky's when it's gone, whenever that may be. If I remember right, that was why you started it in the first place wasn't it? You're doing a great job Leonard, thank you.

I'll second that. This board quickly became my favorite, for all of the reasons stated above. A thousand kudos to you, Leonard, not only for having a great board, but for being an extremely trusting business man, and for taking the time to answer at great length and detail, and with great patience, some of the questions that I have Emailed to you that you have probably answered a million and one times. Thanks.
