What's happened to the Flighlines forum ?

Has the Flightlines Forum gone the way of Iksanders Forum, I've tried the new links and still it comes up Cannot find server.

For part of last evening, it was running in deep molasses, and most browsers should be timing out when that happens, but it's still out there, just overloaded in some manner. Netscape 4.8 sometimes will "fall asleep" when nothing is happening like that, and never manage to time out. That type of slowdown has happened several times the past few months, particularly between 10 & 11 PM CDST on Sundays, but also some Friday & Saturday late evenings.

On occasion, these symptoms have appeared as early as 7:30 PM and persisted until after midnight. (Incidentally, it's very mindful of a similar effect that pops up on occasion here at SSW, but here it is a "momentary" thing that doesn't PERSIST, but will repeat at intervals. Ever since SSW was first set up, the software would occasionally tell Netscape to wait, and then never send anything more, and Netscape would keep on waiting literally for hours without prompting again.

This odd forgetful behavior occurs mostly during busy times, and it requires a "Stop" command to the browser and a "Reload" (Refresh) command. The frequency of these paused download events dropped a lot immediately after the last software upgrade, and recently has started to increase in frequency again. Since no one else ever reported any similar behavior, and it's occurred on three PC's, two ISP's, three Browser versions, and three Windows 98/SE/ME versions; I have no idea why I'm the only "victim".)

Thanks for the information guys, don't know whats going on, but I still can't load the pages. I felt sure that it was likely to be a problem to just me as I ran a pretty thourough seach to see if there had been any reports to say that the site was gone or down, but couldn't see anythig on any of the C/L sites. I've tried the link you supplied Elwyn, many thanks, which is identical to the one I've been using, but still no luck.
I'll try Kiwis fix as I'm still with Win 98 SE. I'm begining to suspect it may be the Norton 2003 AV and or firewall that may be the culprit though.
Can't get my wifes PC to to load it either, maybe it's our local server in Oz.
Hi Paul, thanks for the note. We've had a very mild winter here in Sydney with just a couple of days cold weather,cold in Sydney is anything under 60 F. How's things in the cold north?
