Let me know how it flies. I have plans and have thought about it from time to time.
We are in fact coming to Portland tomorrow. But it seems I won't have time to fly afterall. My wonderful spouse has plans from the moment we get there. Portland Meadows from dawn to dark, it seems.
God, at least now I know who is interested in Arabian Racing.

the OS.32F stock is a killer! It can swing an 11 X 4 prop at 10,000-11-000 rpm without gruntin'.
That's enough power to pull a 600 sq" like superman!
With the ports raised it becomes a well behaved stunt engine, but one loses a lot of ponies...
On a RD-1 I'd put a smaller venturi on it and use a 10 X4 prop launching at 10,000 rpm. If you don't strangle it with a smaller venturi it'll fatally run away.
Reminds me of them old DOS's that didn't allow you to run more than one application, because the first thing you turned on would grab all the memory available.
Similarly, that 32 will demand and use all the power it can deliver.
It will not do any 4-2-4, but unless you're an "old timer Fox fan" it's a very nice little powerhouse.

I need to paint ours. I *cheated* and made a built up wing.
Aaron's first one was foam, and flew great with a Webra 28!
The new one will ahve Bob's Webra 28 from the Tucker Special.
Have fun, it's a good design, very honest plane.

Pal that R-D sure looks good and with an O S 32 probably flies well also.. I noticed that you have a three bladed prop on it and I'm curious as to where you got it.. I am runnin' some O S 32's and would like some of those props in the 10 1/2 x4 and some 10x4 both in three bladed variety..Also some info on the spinner....

PS - Can you believe somebody entered my house and stole ONLY that tuned pipe?
Otherwise the OS.25VF is just fine. I took off the screws becaus I was short on 2.5mm screws and I needed tehem on the OS.32F, but Dave Simmons mailed me some screws from Australia.
