I'm thinking of setting up a website with all of Aeromodeller and Model Aircraft control line stunt/combat/team race publications from @ 1950 - 1970.

I haven't looked into getting the space yet as my pictures site takes up most of my space.

I would LOVE to have access to that stuff. ...and you certainly picked the right example: I was looking at the "Altegerra" in Tom Morris' compilation just last week, wondering about the details, but without access to the article. I hope that you are able to accomplish this. Thanks.

Edit: I hadn't noticed the entire scope of your sample. I always wanted to see the article that went with my Cougar plans, and there are other planes I've wondered about here. This is really nice. No copyright problems?

Free-online.co.uk will give you 250Mb with no 'phone bills (limit 20 hours a week) for £9.99 a month. I hope you can do this, I wouldn't even attempt it, but if I can help in any way just ask. If you scan the pictures as colour, you can get rid of the patterns.

Until I get enough space I think I'll rotate the pages on a weekly basis so that all designs are featured I should have the first one up by tomorrow.

Edit: Actually, the way to do this is to download directly to your CD RW drive and just burn CDs to make a library. They cost all of $0.10 or so these days.

Tony,

I know that your primary interest is Control Line, and that server space is at a premium, but could you once-in-a-while include some of the wonderful Free Flight "Sport Power" models from this era? There were so many really sweet little FF gas "sportsters" designed then, and with the demise of Aeromodeler, these are becoming rare birds. Designs like the "Terrier", "Cherub", "Tomboy", "Doohickey", "Pee Wit", "Debutante", ---the list goes on and on. Many of these ships would now be great candidates for small field "schoolyard" RC sport, possibly with electric power. Or to be flown as intended with a Pee Wee 020 and an eyedropper to limit the fuel. All designs I've loved since my youth, and none in my possession. Just a copy of an old Aeromodeler plan catalog.

Then there are all the glider and rubber plans (*sigh*).

Speaking of which, has anybody picked up the old Aeromodeler plan portfolio? Are they still available somewhere? If not, then a terrible loss...

I've attempted to compile a list for all sources of control line
plans on the net (and some not on the net) - tell me of any others
you know. The the two 'page plans' books from PAMPA are invaluable so
that you can see what many models look like before splashing out for a full size plan.

For plans on my site (Aeromodeller and Model Aircraft) the European sites may be best but some US ones have some too.
